Dr. Dan Georgescu (Dr. Dan) specializes in the cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids, orbit and face. He is double-board-certified by the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

After finishing medical school in Europe, Dr. Dan completed his Doctorate in Neuroscience at Yale University and UT Southwestern Medical Centers followed by four years of ophthalmology residency training at the John Moran Eye Center, University of Utah in Salt Lake City. He further sub-specialized in oculofacial plastic surgery with the internationally renowned eyelid and facial plastic surgeons, Dr. Richard Anderson and Dr. John McCann at the Center for Facial Appearances, also in Salt Lake City. After fellowship training, Dr. Dan became an oculofacial plastic surgery professor at the Johns Hopkins Medical Center where he trained many residents and fellows.

Dr. Dan is currently a clinical assistant professor at Nova Southeastern University where he teaches young doctors the art of facial cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the European Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Over the past 12 years, Dr. Dan has participated in humanitarian aid trips to Nepal, India, Cambodia and Romania, where he has treated hundreds of children with congenital oculo-facial malformations or tumors and has trained many local doctors.

A former marathon runner, Dr Dan enjoys many outdoor activities in his spare time with kitesurfing, snowboarding and swimming being among his favorites. He also enjoys singing in the church choir and traveling the world with his wife Monica.
