However, our bodies tend not to store substantial amounts of Vitamin C when consumed, so it’s important to include nutrient-rich foods in our daily diets where possible. In fact, adults should consume 500 mg daily for the best results. Furthermore, Vitamin C has been known to reduce cataracts and age-related macular degeneration.
